Welcome to the website of the German Museum of Technology Berlin

What to see: Permanent exhibitions

The museum presents a broad spectrum of old and new technology. Come and discover the cultural history of technology by yourself!

Events: Education

Education for all is our motto – wherever you come from and however much (or little) you already know about science and technology.
And of course we offer a special welcome to the many families, groups and school classes who visit our museum.

Helpful in many ways: A speaking trumpet like this allows one’s voice to be heard in order to either express an opinion or maintain order.

Last chance: Paris Music Engraving Studio, Berlin

SW Photo: Tools of the trade
Tools to work the printing plate: The gravers (on the stand at the back) are used to cut lines and curves, while the note heads and letters are stamped with punches.

Photographs of an abandoned workplace: Impressive black-and-white photos show the studio of Berlin's last master music engraver, Hans-Joachim Paris, which closed in 1990.

Until next Sunday, 18 November

Museum Park: Between nature and technology

The large museum park - containing two windmills, a water mill, a smithy and a brewery - is home to a great variety of trees and plant life.

Enjoy exciting exhibitions and relax outside amongst the greenery.
