For school classes

School classes are very welcome in our museum.

Advance reservations are not required. Please bring one accompanying adult for every 15 students in the group.

You will find a picnic area suitable for groups in the foyer, along with lockers where bags can be left.

In the museum park there is space to play and run around or rest after visiting the exhibitions.

We recommend the following interactive thematic guided tours.

For primary schools:

  • Steam and power (Leaflet "Full Steam Ahead", PDF-File, 900 kB)
  • The uses of ships
  • Aeroplanes and flying
  • Technology and nature

For secondary schools:

  • Industrialisation
  • People and technology
  • Technology and war
  • Technology and art

The overview tour of the museum, the department tours and the general thematic tours are all also suitable for school classes. Our team would be pleased to advise.

All guided tours for schools last one hour.
Tours in languages other than German cost Euro 40 for a group of up to 20 (plus admission charge).
