Exhibit of the Month: Illuminated sign, 1980s

The dot on the "j" - an illuminated star with cosmic history has moved to the Deutsches Technikmuseum.

Photo exhibition: Paris Music Engraving Studio, Berlin

Tools to work the printing plate: The gravers (on the stand at the back) are used to cut lines and curves, while the note heads and letters are stamped with punches.

Music engraving remained an essential part of duplicating sheet music for centuries. The studio of Berlins last master music engraver, Hans-Joachim Paris, closed in 1990.

Museum Park: Between nature and technology
